In 1014, Byzantine Emperor Basil II crushed Bulgar resistance in the battle of Kleidion. Of the 15,000 (?) captured, Basil blinded 99 out of every 100 prisoners; the last of each group left with one eye to guide the pitiful survivors back to their own land. That was some kind of imagination! Jeff Richardson
Heart breaking. It pulls you along an awful tale that only leaves you feeling worse. Haunts you afterwards and beckons you to play it again. Funeral Wizard
Fans of Polvo, take note! The excellent Kansas City band Abandoncy has the same fondness for corkscrewing riffs & melodies. It’s great! Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 28, 2022
Boston post-punk outfit Junk Ranchers broke up in 1986 before this, their debut album, was released; darkly melodic, it's a long-lost gem. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 22, 2020
Sympathetic cover of nature and an album with a good feeling. Good riffs and vocals, a forester ambience grab us all along this release. Misty and catchy. darkenedspirit (Midgard_OBM)
